Mumbai crawls back to normalcy as Balasaheb's health improves - NewsX

Shiv Sainiks have been maintaining an anxious vigil outside Matoshree, the Bandra residence of their chief Bal Thackeray who remains in a critical but stable condition. The sainiks seem determined not to leave till the party patriarch is up on his feet. Around 1,500 police personnel and one company of Rapid Action Force has been stationed to ensure order at Matoshree since yesterday. Uddhav Thackeray, in another late night appearance reassured the Shiv Sainiks and the waiting media that Bal Thackeray is stable. Mumbai meanwhile remains on tenterhooks with several Sena dominated areas in central mumbai like Dadar, Parel, Lalbagh, Sion, Dharavi and Bandra remaining deserted, shops are shut, the streets empty.
