Jerrit G John arrested for throwing chemical at girlfriend

Jerrit G. John, a production company owner has been arrested after he allegedly threw a deadly chemical at his former girlfriend's face. The attack took place at his former girlfriend Aryanka Hosbetkar's residence in central Mumbai. The accused allegedly dragged Aryanka upstairs and flung the chemical on her face in the presence of her shocked mother and friends. He had also allegedly snatched Aryanka's phone and locked her up after the attack. She was later taken to a private hospital where she was treated and discharged on Thursday. The police say John was picked up from Nalasopara area where he had been hiding at a hotel. He has been booked for causing grievous injury and also for theft and wrongful confinement.
