The election commission has announced the dates for assembly polls for both Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. Gujarat will hold elections in two phases, on the 13th and 17th of December while Himachal will vote on the 4th of November. The counting for both assembly elections will take place on the 20th of December. The Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath has said that the model of code of conduct is in place in both the states.
