BSP has decided to vote in favour of the Central govt and against the Opposition sponsored resolution against FDI. The party's chief Mayawati declared her party's support sayint the government's proposal on FDI has some loopholes but the plus point for the current FDI policy of Central government is that states won't be forced to implement it. She also added that this move was to keep t he communal forces at bay. The UPA is now assured of 117 votes versus 99 against with the nine MPs of the Samajwadi Party likely to abstain. This could help the government scrape through by a whisker and win tomorrow's vote in the Upper House, where it is in a minority.
