Members of Parliament will vote in the Parliament House today to elect India's Vice President with the UPA's candidate and sitting Vice President Hamid Ansari to face the opposition NDA's candidate Jaswant Singh for the post. A total of 787 Members of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha are eligible to cast their vote. Hamid Ansari appears to have a clear edge with sources saying the UPA nominee has the support of 500 MPs.
