Cabinet reshuffle: Chidambaram to be FM, Shinde as HM - NewsX

A Cabinet reshuffle is likely to be held in which Home Minister P Chidambaram is expected to take charge as Finance Minister, and Power Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, is likely to take over as the new Home Minister, sources said on Tuesday. Since the Finance Minister post had been kept vacant after Pranab Mukherjee resigned from the post owing to his competing in the Presidential election, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had to temporarily take charge of the Finance Ministry.
