BJP termed the reshuffle in the Union Cabinet as a damp squib, and alleged that the UPA government has failed on all fronts and the country has seen biggest scams and highest inflation during the last eight years. "Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is losing his credibility with each passing day, and country has never seen a prime minister who has a tall stature as an economist but despite his expertise in the field, country is facing the worst economic crises," BJP leader Balbir Punj said. The tenure of UPA-II was full off "economic disasters and marked by abject failure to arrest inflation," Punj said. Criticising the Centre for its policies, he said "the capping of subsidised LPG cylinders to six would lead to black marketing and artificial shortages would be created.
