India likely to see moderate drought this year - NewsX

The government seems to have all but given up on the monsoon. Indicating this Prime MInister Manmohan Singh himself is monitoring the situation on a weekly basis. All departments and ministries have been asked to coordinate with all states to face an emergency. The fear of a drought is palpable on the ground as farmers take steps to save themselves from an extremely ruinous situation.
