Samajwadi Party (SP) was in the midst of a controversy on Monday after a sticker with pictures of party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and Uttar Padesh Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav was found in a polling booth in Chandauli.

The sticker with the pictures of the two SP leaders was found on a laptop kept in the polling booth in UP where voting is taking place in the final phase of elections for 18 Lok Sabha seats.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said that if the claims are true then it is a serious matter.

Over three crore people are eligible to vote for the ninth phase of elections in around 31,000 polling booths.

While SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav is contesting from Azamgarh, Quami Ekta Dal leader Mukhtar Ansari is in the fray from Ghosi.

Congress has fielded Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan from Jaunpur.
