Former Gujarat chief Minister Keshubhai Patel has challenged the current Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in his blog. Patel says that if Modi has respect for the renowned freedom fighter and leader from Gujarat, the late leader Sardar Vallabbhai Patel, then he should oppose NDA vice president candidate Jaswant Singh. In 2009, Jaswant Singh in his book on Partition, had allegedly criticised Sardar Vallabbhai. Keshubhai Patel says Jaswant Singh had also used derogatory language against the revered lleader of Gujarati origins. In 2009, Narendra Modi was only chief minister to quickly react and ban Jaswant Singh's book in Gujarat.
