Narendra Modi is taking his battle to Rahul Gandhi's door-step. Today, the BJP's prime ministerial candidate is scheduled to address a rally in Amethi, the Congress vice-president's constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

In doing so, Mr Modi will break the convention of top political leaders refraining from campaigning in constituencies represented by their main opponents. Mr Gandhi, 43, is widely expected to be the Prime Minister if the Congress wins a third straight term at the Centre this time.
