Rift appears to be widening within Hurriyat's Mirwaiz Umer Farooq-led faction with several leaders seeking reorganization of the amalgam after its executive council meet was postponed on Sunday. The Mirwaiz had postponed the meeting citing the fire that gutted Sufi saint Dastgeer Sahib's shrine in Srinagar on June 25. Senior Hurriyat leaders like Nayeem Khan refused to believe the shrine fire led to the meeting's cancellation.
