Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh on Friday criticised the policy of subsidising diesel, kerosene and liquefied petroleum gas or LPG.Questioning his own govt's rationale behind letting the rich get subsidised fuels, Ramesh made a point for differential diesel price policy. The Minister slammed the government for not seriously thinking before endlessly hiking the price of petrol which affects the middle class and lower class of the country and yet contuing to subsidise the diesel that is guzzled by the Swanky SUVs owned by the rich.
