Derek O'Brien defends Mamata over LS poll comment - NewsX

TMC Supremo Mamata Banerjee created quite a stir when her comments hinted an early Lok Sabha Poll. Although today she said that she would be happy to see UPA-II last its full term. Her colleague and quizmaster-turned-politician Derek O'Brien turned to her defence. "Let me clear. The half truth was being reported. I would be happy to see UPA-two lasts its full term," Brien tweeted, quoting Banerjee. He said, "What she said that she had heard this (advancing Lok Sabha poll) issue being discussed in Delhi. Now our statement clarified the position."
