Andar ki baat: Congress in state of panic due to BJP's growing popularity
  • 5 years ago
India News: The Congress on Tuesday appointed Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia as the leader of its campaign for the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections due in sometime.
The Congress has not tasted success in the state for a decade now and is desperate to wrest power from the BJP government led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan, one of the high-profile saffron chief ministers of the country. The Congress generally avoids naming a chief ministerial candidate ahead of assembly polls but by appointing Scindia as the campaign chief, it looks the 42-year-old will be the party's face for the polls.
