Fishermen death: Kochi police detain 6 Italian guards-NewsX

The Italian Consul General, Giampaolo Cutillo, was meeting Kochi Police commissioner MR Ajay Kumar on Friday over the killing of two Indian fishermen by the guards of an Italian ship off the coast of Kochi on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kerala Police sources said that while the ship, Enrica Lexie, has not yet been detained, some of the crew members have been taken into custody. Six security guards on the ship are considered to be from the Italian Navy as per the information they have. These crew members will be arrested and produced in the court only after all procedures are completed," they said.
