Pakistan LoC fire: Bihar loses 4 brave sons in Pakistani attack

India News: A group of 20 heavily armed men including some regular personnel of Pakistan Army entered 450 metres into the Indian territory in the Poonch sector in the wee hours of Tuesday and ambushed a patrol killing the five Indian soldiers.

The family of the slain soldiers would get Rs 10 lakh compensation from the state government, sources in the Chief Minister's Office said. The deceased jawans, belonging to 21 Bihar Regiment, were deployed on the Sarla forward post along the LoC in Chakan-Da-Bagh sector of Poonch.

The last journey of the five jawans martyred in the attack by Pakistan soldiers began on Tuesday evening from Poonch town with Army officers laying wreaths on their caskets.

The bodies were draped in the Tricolour at the military hospital in Poonch after a post-mortem, Army officials said.Four of the five jawans who lost their lives in the LoC attack hailed from Bihar. They were Naik Prem Nath (35, Chappra), Lance Naik Shambhu Saran (29, Bhojpur), Sepoy Vijay Kumar Rai (27, Patna), Sepoy Ragunandan (23, Chhapra).
