According to sources, Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed had visited areas along LoC in third week of July. On Saeed's directions three outfits LeT, HM and JeM are jointly making infiltration bids along LoC and IB.Sources also said there was involvement of terrorists in the attack as well.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has denied firing on Indian troops on Kashmir border. Pakistan army official says "there was no indiscriminate firing" by Pakistan forces on Kashmir border, according news agency Reuters.
The incident could cast a shadow on the resumption of the Indo-Pak dialogue process expected later this month. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif are slated to meet in New York next month on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.
