India News: Decision today in Batla's House encounter case

India News: A Delhi court on Monday will pronounce the sentence in the 2008 Batla House encounter case in which suspected Indian Mujahideen operative Shahzad Ahmed was convicted of killing a police inspector and assaulting other policemen. While pronouncing Shahzad guilty of assaulting police officers and obstructing them from doing their duty, Additional Sessions Judge Rajender Kumar Shastri had on July 25 fixed July 29 for pronouncing the quantum of the sentence.
