India News: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Siddaramaiah, who was yesterday appointed as the Karnataka Chief Minister by the state's Governor, will most likely be sworn in on Monday.
A statement issued by the Raj Bhavan late Friday said, "Governor HR Bhardwaj is pleased to appoint Siddaramaiah as the Chief Minister of Karnataka." After meeting Bhardwaj, Siddaramaiah said the Governor had invited him to take oath of office soon.
"I will take oath as chief minister most likely on Monday (May 13)," a beaming Siddaramaiah told reporters outside Raj Bhavan.
