Mahavidayalaya college students barred from wearing jeans and T-shirts in the college

There is a 'dress code' for the staff members of the college as well. The women teachers have been instructed to wear only saris while male members have to wear formal pants and shirts.
The issue has evoked strong reactions from students but most are afraid to speak up as they feel doing so could have a negative impact on their internal assessment results.
