Business leaders in the Asia Pacific consider North Korea a market with huge development potential.
According to a survey by the Federation of Korean Industries on 100 business big names in the region...more than two-thirds expected tensions on the peninsula to ease if there are advances in the regime's denuclearization.
Respondents believe improving relations between Seoul and Pyeongyang will help boost the regional economy, and more than half said they will consider doing business in the North in the future, citing new business opportunities and relatively cheap labor costs.
But they added, lifting of economic sanctions, and establishing an environment suitable for foreign investment would also be crucial.
