Pope Francis has promised stronger action to tackle the sexual abuse of children in the Catholic Church,... condemning the practice and the cover-ups as the "tools of Satan."
Closing a Vatican summit on pedophilia on Sunday,... the Pope pledged that the Church would treat every case with utmost seriousness,... strengthening its guidelines to prevent and discipline perpetrators.
He likened the sexual abuse of children to the pagan practice of child sacrifice.
However, critics say the Pope's message lacked concrete policy measures to tackle the Church's long-standing problem.
