Firefighters save children from frozen lake

Firefighters rushed to the rescue after two children plunged through thin ice on a lake in Kashgar City in China’s northwestern Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Rescuers needed safety ropes and had to break through ice to move the children close enough to shore before the two girls could be rushed to hospital for treatment.
