Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu has confirmed that the Malaysian Army is currently investigating allegations that a senior army officer assaulted an army guard who was reportedly on duty at the Sungai Udang Army Camp on February 5.
Mat Sabu said the probe will be carried out freely and there will be no "cover up".
