#KiniNews: Zahid explains why Umno chose Harapan; Hamzah responds to Tok Mat

[KiniNews] Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today explained to the Umno general assembly why his party decided to team up with Pakatan Harapan, instead of Perikatan Nasional.
In his policy speech at the 2022 Umno general assembly today, Zahid told delegates that Umno took the position to form a government with Harapan as per the wish of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
"At the same time, Harapan also agreed to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's decree, while PN rejected the suggestion."
Zahid also responded to criticisms against the decision and said that critics who highlighted Umno's 'no Anwar, no DAP' resolution at the previous general assembly had forgotten that it also made included 'no Bersatu.'
Meanwhile, in a separate story, Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin has taken a swipe at Umno deputy president Mohamad Hasan’s claims that cooperation with DAP is better than with PAS.
He said it was nonsense and the people will definitely not support those who say DAP leadership is better than PAS.
