1 The era when Devas and Daityas constantly indulged in battles had a great influence on the existence of Vishnu’s infinite avatars.
2 Shukracharya (Guru of Asuras) was humiliated by the fact that Daityas lost in these raw clashes.
3 He decided to seek favor from Lord Shiva and make Daityas invincible through the Mrita Sanjivini Mantra.
4 Meanwhile, he asked Daityas to take shelter at Maharishi Bhrigu’s hermitage and live as hermits.
5 Devas decided to take advantage of this time and attacked the Daityas, who ran to Usana (wife of Bhrigu).
6 She assured them protection by freezing Indra Deva to immobility, which made Daityas more powerful.
