Midfielder Ki Sung-yeung retires from S. Korea's national football team

South Korean midfielder Ki Sung-yueng has retired from international football,... hanging up his boots on an eleven-year career with the Taeguk Warriors.
The 30-year-old made his retirement public on Wednesday in a letter sent to the Korea Football Association.
Ki only played in the opening match of the 2019 Asian Cup, before withdrawing due to a hamstring injury.
The three-time KFA Player of the Year made his international debut in 2008.
He racked up 110 appearances and scored ten times for his country.
He'll continue his club career playing for Newcastle United in the English Premier League.
