New norms gives choice to the consumers to choose and pay for what they watch, says RS Sharma

TRAI chairman RS Sharma feels that the new tariff regime for television channels empowers the consumers as it gives them a choice to pay for what they watch. In a conversation with Ashmit Kumar ahead of the February 1 deadline, Sharma said that the migration rate in the DTH segment was not satisfactory.
