2014ರ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್.ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು 3,63,305 ಮತಗಳ ಭಾರೀ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ನ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಸಂಸತ್ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಮಂಜುನಾಥ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಅವರು 2,42,911 ಮತಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. 2018ರ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕಾರಿಪುರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಿಂದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸಿ ಗೆಲುವು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಸಂಸತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜೀನಾಮೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. 2018ರ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 3ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಉಪ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಪುತ್ರ ಬಿ.ವೈ.ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಅವರು ಜಯಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BS Yeddyurappa entered the Parliament with a margin of 3,63,305 votes, defeating Congress candidate Manjunath Bhandari. Manjunath Bhandary received only 2,42,911 votes. Yeddyurappa resigned from parliamentary constituency in the Karnataka Assembly elections in 2018, winning the Shikaripura constituency. Yeddyurappa son BY Raghavendra won the by-election on November 3, 2018.
