Women power was the highlight of this Republic Day which witnessed women officers leading army contingents and taking the command in their hands. Lt Bhavana Kasturi became the first woman officer to lead an all-men Army contingent at Republic Day. She said that the moment was an honour and it filled her with pride to lead the contingent.
