Nightmare for Nairobi residents as flood rages [News Bulletin]

It was a wet and cold night for scores of Nairobi residents on Tuesday following a heavy downpour.
Many were stuck in traffic until the wee hours of the morning.
Children weren’t spared either as Makini school students were marooned inside their bus at the South C mosque the entire night.
Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero who is currently out of the country has issued a statement in response and committed to unblock the city’s drainage system.
He has also offered condolences to the families of the nine who died in the Fuata Nyayo slum of South B and those who were injured and displaced when a wall gave in to a downpour on Monday night.
