Is India’s job crisis graver than ever before in Narendra Modi govt. 4.5yrs tenure?

A new report that has come out says the economic growth in 12 of the RBI’s 17 non-special states beat India’s economic growth of 6.7% in fiscal 2018. But it did not open more avenues for jobs. In fact 11 of these 12 states saw a fall in growth in otherwise employment-intensive sectors. These are the findings of the latest CRISIL research report. It also says manufacturing, construction and trade, hotels transport and communication services are some of the employment-inductive sectors. Gong by the 3 crucial factors of inflation growth and fiscal deficit Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat are among the top performers this year. Kerala, Punjab and Jharkhand are at the bottom.
