Manufacturer must be made accountable for lifelong emission control of automobiles, say experts

Supreme Court has expanded the scope of investigation against Volkswagen, following the 2015 global emission scandal also known as dieselgate. The apex court has said that that they would leave it to the NGT to decide if other car makers should also be probed for possible violations of regulatory norms.
