L.A. Public Schools Only Have School Nurses Once A Week

According to Reuters, most public schools in Los Angeles only have a school nurse on staff once a week.
This means that if children get sick when the school nurse is out, they're usually on their own.
More support staff, that includes school nurses is one of the things that L.A. teachers are fighting for.
They have been on strike for a full week, since January 14, throughout Los Angeles Unified School District.
