Coulter: Trump Is 'Dead In The Water If He Doesn't Build That Wall'

Ann Coulter commented on President Trump's demand for border wall funding amid the lingering shutdown.

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter is again stressing the importance of President Trump building the wall along the US-Mexico border. "It is self-preservation, because he is dead in the water if he doesn't build that wall. Dead, dead, dead," Coulter said in a recent interview with HBO's Vice News Tonight. Coulter also voiced support for the government shutdown, commenting: "More Americans die from drug overdose every year than died in the entire course of the Vietnam War, and the vast majority of those drugs are being brought in because we have a wide open border. I care about that more than I care about the Yosemite gift shop being open."  Notably, the 2018 report from the Drug Enforcement Administration's 2018 states that the vast majority of heroin sold in the US comes through legal points of entry.  Coulter's previous comments on Trump and the wall include the prediction that his presidency will be a "joke" if he fails to come through on his campaign promise.  "They're about to have a country where no Republican will ever be elected president again," she told the Daily Caller. "Trump will just have been a joke presidency who scammed the American people, amused the populists for a while, but he'll have no legacy whatsoever."
