According to Gizmodo, the remains of a World War I German U-boat are resurfacing on the coast of Wissant near Calais, France. The submarine is emerging over a century after it was abandoned by its 26-sailor crew before surrendering to the French. The BBC reports that the ship was buried in sand by the 1930s, but with the effects of the ocean tides, makes an appearance every few years.
