Gifted with five months of snow each year, a small town on China’s northwestern border has become popular with tourists who want to enjoy its fairy-tale landscapes. The village of Chonghu'erxiang in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region welcomes thousands of visitors from November through March each year. Many make a stop in the town on the way to Kanas Lake Nature Reserve – a Unesco World Heritage site.
