A university in India is building new colleges for animation and gaming contents.
The official in charge of the project says it's based on what he calls 'K-Contents,' referring to South Korea's achievements in those areas.
And it just so happens he's visiting Seoul in a bid to take some of South Korea's know how in the fields back home with him.
Choi Si-young reports.
"So, Mr. Ramamurthy, you are a member of the upper house of India's Parliament and the chairman of the CMR Group of Institutions,... the educational foundation that runs CMR university...
What exactly are these 'K-Contents'-based colleges and what is their objective?"

"I have been able to understand that Korea is quite strong in some areas where we can benefit. One area is animation and games. This is a very popular thing now in the world. We would like to adopt it. Basically that is one of our basic and very important objectives."

"Now, why do you think South Korea has a competitive edge in those specific fields?"

"Because they are the best. You know, if you're going to talk about India we can very probably say that we are good in IT industry,... like Korea is good in so many areas. They are the areas where Korea has excelled... worldwide. Some of the best practices are seen in this country.
The quality of technology that was used in developing the contents and method of teaching these games,... and all that is different. It's very, very appealing to the students,... easily learned... the method of learning is also very easier. So, it will be really easy for Indians to understand and take it faster."

"What are the specific ways for both countries to deepen the cultural and educational ties?"

"Various activities... you know... need to be planned. But most importantly, the Korean cultural centers need to be established in India. There should be a regular cultural activity that goes on in the India capital and other places. The cultural centers should work as centers for Indo-Korean relationships. Once these cultural centers work very deeply, the Indian governments would need to recognize these cultural centers and give all the required assistance and encouragement,... to see that the cultural centers flourish and... you know... they do a lot of good service to the society."

"Thank you for your time to speak with us. I hope you enjoy your rest of stay in Korea."

"Thank you so much. It was wonderful talking to you."
