PM Lee vows to accelerate innovative growth for SMEs

Seoul's Prime Minister thanked small and mid-sized businesses for their contributions to the local economy and the job market.
At a new year's event for SMEs, the Lee Nak-yon noted that the 2019 economic forecast isn't very bright and called on businesses to be ready.
The PM promised to visit their industrial sites more often this year... to listen to the problems they face on the ground.
He also pledged to inject the biggest-ever R&D budget for the firms to help them technologically... and to deregulate so they have room to develop.
Lee praised the SMEs for their exports, which reached over 100 billion U.S. dollars last year, and venture companies whose sales came to 90-million dollars.
