Lotte Duty Free store in Seoul posts world-record sales

Lotte Duty Free announced one of its stores achieved a world record in sales by a single store for a single year.
The South Korean duty free chain said on Sunday its store in Myeongdong, one of Seoul's main shopping districts, saw sales worth more than 3-and-a-half billion U.S. dollars in 2018.
That's more than 9-point-9 million dollars a day.
The key contributors, according to Lotte: a surge in Chinese buying agents who bought Korean products to re-sell those items in their country.
The company as a whole also posted record-high domestic sales for a Korean duty free company -- at more than 6-point-7 billion dollars.
