SK Hynix posts record third-quarter performance for sales, net and operating profit

South Korean chipmaker SK Hynix says.... its quarterly sales, net profit and operating profit ALL hit record highs.
The company said on Thursday.... that its third quarter sales came in at nine-point-six billion U.S. dollars... 41 times higher than during the same period last year.
It also lodged an operating profit of five-point-two billion and net profit of three-point-five billion.
SK Hynix attributed the record figures to the surge in DRAM and NAND flash chip exports.
The firm plans to commercialize its second generation DRAM chips starting next year... and complete the development of fifth generation NAND flash chips within this year to meet the changing demand.
