President Trump confident Washington and Beijing will reach deal to end trade war

U.S. President Donald Trump says he is confident Washington and Beijing will reach a deal to bring to an end to their months-long trade dispute that has shaken global financial markets.
Speaking to reporters at the White House on Friday, President Trump said talks are underway with China "at the highest levels."
While a U.S. delegation will be in Beijing for negotiations on Monday, Trump said he and President Xi Jin-ping have already been actively engaged in talks.
Trump added that China's slowing economy gives the U.S. an upper hand in negotiations.
The two sides set a 90-day truce in December and are working to reach an agreement by the March deadline.
