South Korea in grip of intense cold wave; lows drop to -20C in some areas
  • 5 years ago
Let's start with the big chill... causing us all to shiver in South Korea.
It's another bitterly, bitterly cold morning with the lows well into the double negative digits for most of the central region.
Parts of Gangwon-do Province to the east are seeing the mercury at a bone-chilling minus 20 degrees Celsius at the moment.
Seoul isn't much better... at minus 14.
In the fact, the only part of the country that isn't sub-freezing as we speak is the southern island of Jeju.
The frigid conditions are expected to have the country in their grip for a least the next few days... and be aware of the wind as it'll make it feel even colder.
Bundle up with extra layers when heading out.
Another option would be to try and stay indoors if possible.
