A cold wave has been gripping the nation since earlier in the week,... and it's likely to continue through the whole weekend.
This morning, Seoul saw the mercury drop to minus 8 degrees Celsius,... and with the wind chill factor, it felt like it was as low as minus 11 degrees.
Central regions including northern parts of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do Provinces are still seeing cold wave advisories in place, and the nation's weather agency also issued dry air advisories in cities around the country,... including Seoul, Incheon and Busan.
It's expected to get warmer throughout the day, with Seoul seeing highs of minus 1 degree, and most other places nationwide seeing their mercury go above zero.
But tomorrow it is likely be similar to today, or even colder in some places,... with temperatures in Seoul expected to drop to minus 8 degrees.
We are, however, expected to have clear skies nationwide for the whole weekend, except for the eastern-most island of Dokdo.
