AgustaWestland VVIP case: Christian Michel's bail will hamper case, says CBI

Special CBI judge Arvind Kumar is likely to pronounce the verdict on Christian Michel's bail plea today. The kingpin in the VVIP chopper scam has been in CBI custody for the past 2 weeks. The British national told the court that he's no longer required for custodial interrogation and no purpose will be served by keeping him in custody. The defence counsel maintains that Michel has cooperated in the investigation and all other accused have been granted bail. Meanwhile, the CBI will also be filing it's reply on a plea filed by Agusta scam accused former air chief SP Tyagi, asking that he be allowed to fly abroad. Tyagi had filed the appeal in court on 19th of December.
