President Trump on Friday warned that a potential shutdown could last for a "very long time."

President Trump on Friday morning posted a number of tweets, warning Democrats that they'll be the ones to blame if there's a partial government shutdown.
"Shutdown today if Democrats do not vote for Border Security!" he wrote in one tweet.
In another, he wrote: "The Democrats, whose votes we need in the Senate, will probably vote against Border Security and the Wall even though they know it is DESPERATELY NEEDED. If the Dems vote no, there will be a shutdown that will last for a very long time. People don't want Open Borders and Crime!"
"Senator Mitch McConnell should fight for the Wall and Border Security as hard as he fought for anything," Trump also tweeted. "He will need Democrat votes, but as shown in the House, good things happen. If enough Dems don't vote, it will be a Democrat Shutdown! House Republicans were great yesterday!"
The tweets came after the House passed a stopgap funding bill on Thursday but as CNBC reports, "the bill likely will not clear the Senate because it includes more than $5 billion for the border barrier, increasing the chances that funding for seven agencies lapses after the midnight Friday deadline."
