Congress to Push Stop-Gap Funding Bill With No Border Wall Money

According to Reuters, the U.S. Congress began advancing legislation to fund several federal agencies through Feb. 8 to avert a partial government shutdown. The government will continue without including money for a U.S.-Mexico border wall that President Donald Trump has demanded. A Senate Democratic aide said the appropriations bill was expected to pass the Senate either on Wednesday or Thursday.
