Days after being sentenced to life imprisonment by the Delhi High Court for instigating a mob that led to the killing of Sikhs in 1984 in Delhi's Sultanpuri, a second case against Sajjan Kumar is up for hearing in the Patiala House Court later today. This is the second case registered by the CBI against Sajjan on the recommendation of Nanavati commission. The Delhi HC earlier reversed a trial court's judgement in which Sajjan Kumar had been acquitted. Kumar has been asked to surrender by 31 December. A day after his conviction, the Congress leader resigned from the party.
