UN to pass resolution on N. Korea's human rights violations for 14th straight year

The United Nations will adopt a resolution on North Korea's human rights violations on Monday, local time.
The resolution strongly condemns the regime's long-standing and ongoing violations of human rights.... and was approved by consensus without a vote last month.
This will be the 14th straight year the UN adopted a resolution to the matter.
As for the reasons for passing the resolution,... it has listed North Korea's serious human rights violations,... including torture, rape and public executions.
It also urges the Security Council to take appropriate measures to hold the abusers accountable.
But for the first time this year,... it included that it welcomes Seoul and Washington's current diplomatic efforts with Pyeongyang.
